Nylon Duty Belts

High-density nylon weave construction that resists water, sweat, and the chemical exposure that degrades leather over time. Nylon duty belts maintain their stiffness regardless of moisture, a significant advantage for law enforcement personnel in wet environments or who sweat heavily during physical activity. Available in black and basket-weave texture options to meet most department standards.

Leather Duty Belts

Traditional law enforcement duty belts in smooth and basket-weave finish leather. Leather duty belts project a formal, professional appearance required by many police departments and security agencies. They require more maintenance than nylon. Regular conditioning prevents cracking and maintains appearance, but develops a professional patina with wear that nylon cannot replicate.

Riggers Belts

Originally designed for military rappelling and rope work, the riggers' belt has become the standard belt for special operations units, tactical teams, and prepared civilians. Heavy-duty nylon or polymer construction with a reinforced buckle rated for load-bearing use. Flat profile sits low in belt loops and under body armor without printing. No need for a separate inner belt the riggers' belt is stiff enough to hold holsters and pouches directly. The most versatile tactical belt available.

Tactical MOLLE Belts

Belt systems with MOLLE webbing panels that accept MOLLE-compatible holsters, pouches, and accessories use the same attachment system used on plate carriers and tactical vests. How to Choose the Right Duty Belt

Belt Width

Standard duty belt width is 2.25 inches, the universal standard that fits the mounting hardware of virtually all duty holsters, mag pouches, handcuff cases, and accessories. Tactical and riggers belts often come in a 1.75-inch width for a lower profile under clothing and inside waistbands. Match belt width to your holster and accessory hardware specifications before purchasing.

Closure System

Buckle closure duty belts use a traditional metal frame buckle fast to put on and remove, durable, and reliable in any conditions. Hook-and-loop inner and outer belt systems use a Velcro-compatible inner belt threaded through pant loops and an outer belt that adheres to it. This system prevents the belt from shifting during movement and is the preferred configuration for heavy-duty loads. Snap closure systems provide quick-release capability for emergency medical scenarios.

Retention and Stiffness

A duty belt must be stiff enough that holsters and heavy accessories do not cause it to roll or sag under load. Rigger's belts and high-density nylon belts provide the highest stiffness. Leather belts stiffen with break-in. Lightweight web belts are not suitable for duty loads; they roll inward under heavy holsters and create inconsistent draw geometry. If the belt flexes when you hold it unsupported, it is not a duty belt.

Building Your Duty Belt Setup

A complete duty belt setup starts with the belt itself, then builds outward. Position your primary holster first on your dominant side. The medical pouch next it must be reachable with both hands for self-treatment. Spare magazines on the non-dominant side for cross-body reloads. Radio or flashlight in remaining positions. Keep the front of the belt clear for seated comfort and vehicle entry.
