How to Apply Military Face Paint Correctly

Military face paint application follows the principle of disruptive pattern using contrasting colors to break up the recognizable patterns of the face rather than simply darkening the skin tone. Apply dark colors, green or brown, to the protruding features that catch light: forehead, nose bridge, cheekbones, and chin. Apply light colors, tan or loam to the recessed areas that fall into shadow: under the eyes, temples, and below the jaw.
