Three-Day Assault Packs (40-50L)
Extended field operation packs carry 72 hours of supplies, clothing, food, and equipment. Three-day packs use a larger main compartment with internal organization panels, external compression straps for securing sleeping systems and field equipment, and padded shoulder straps with a sternum strap for load transfer during long movements. The standard for field training exercises, bug-out preparedness, and extended patrol operations.
MOLLE Rucksacks (60L+)
Large-frame rucksacks for extended deployments, wilderness operations, and maximum load carrying requirements. MOLLE rucksacks use external frame or internal frame load transfer systems that move pack weight from the shoulders to the hips, essential for loads above 35 pounds that would create shoulder and neck fatigue on frameless packs. The standard for infantry operations, long-distance humping, and extended wilderness expeditions.
Compact Tactical Packs (10-20L)
Small tactical packs for vehicle operations, urban patrol, and short-duration missions where a full assault pack is unnecessary bulk. Compact tactical packs carry the mission-essential minimum ammunition, water, medical, and communication equipment without the volume or weight of a larger pack. Often used as a secondary pack carried inside a larger rucksack and deployed independently for short-range operations.
MOLLE Configuration for Tactical Packs
MOLLE webbing on tactical packs extends the pack's carrying capacity beyond its internal volume. Standard external attachments for tactical packs include a hydration carrier on the back panel for additional water capacity beyond the internal bladder, ammunition pouches on the side panels for quick-access ammunition management, a medical pouch on the front panel for immediate casualty treatment, and a radio pouch on the shoulder strap for communication equipment in the immediate access position.
